A columbarium is a repository for urns and a living museum of memories.

In this short documentary The Columbarium, we are invited to experience San Francisco’s Victorian-era columbarium through the eyes of its 30-year caretaker, Emmitt Watson.

Watson has painstakingly restored the building to its former glory. He now regales visitors with stories of some of the more than 80,000 people respectfully interred there.
